Through a series of engaging activities, games, and exercises, young performers will develop their acting skills, vocal expression, and stage presence while embodying beloved Disney characters. 

From classic icons like Mickey Mouse and Cinderella to modern favorites such as Elsa and Moana, children will have the chance to choose their favorite character to portray. 

Through guided exploration and imaginative play, they will learn to channel the essence of their chosen character, mastering their gestures, voices, and mannerisms.

Note: Parents are encouraged to provide costumes or props related to their child's chosen Disney character to enhance the experience.

Here's a detailed weekly activity plan for each 25-minute class meeting over the course of four weeks:

Week 1: Discovering Your Character

Week Theme: Introducing Disney Characters

Activity 1 (5 mins): Welcome & Icebreaker - Greet students, introduce yourself, and have each child share their favorite Disney character.

Activity 2 (10 mins): Character Introduction - Discuss the characteristics, traits, and backstory of various Disney characters. Show images/videos to illustrate.

Activity 3 (5 mins): Character Selection - Have each child choose their favorite Disney character to portray during the class.

Activity 4 (5 mins): Character Exploration - Begin exploring the chosen character's voice, gestures, and mannerisms through simple exercises and mimicry.

Week 2: Getting into Character

Week Theme: Embodying Your Character

Activity 1 (5 mins): Warm-up - Lead the group in a fun warm-up activity (e.g., Disney-themed Simon Says or Freeze Dance).

Activity 2 (10 mins): Character Development - Dive deeper into the chosen character's personality, motivations, and iconic moments through discussion and role-play.

Activity 3 (5 mins): Vocal Exercises - Guide students in vocal exercises to help them find their character's voice and speech patterns.

Activity 4 (5 mins): Movement Exercises - Lead simple movement exercises to help students embody their character physically (e.g., how would your character walk?).

Week 3: Bringing Your Character to Life

Activity 1 (5 mins): Recap & Warm-up - Review previous lessons and lead a quick warm-up activity.

Activity 2 (10 mins): Scene Study - Assign short scenes from Disney movies or create original scenarios for each character. Practice acting out these scenes in small groups.

Activity 3 (5 mins): Character Interaction - Pair students up to interact as their characters, encouraging improvisation and creative dialogue.

Activity 4 (5 mins): Character Showcase Prep - Introduce the concept of the upcoming showcase and discuss what each student needs to prepare.

Week 4: Showcasing Your Magic

Week Theme: Showcase Preparation & Performance

Activity 1 (5 mins): Warm-up & Rehearsal - Lead a final warm-up activity and give students time to rehearse their showcase performances individually or in small groups.

Activity 2 (10 mins): Showcase Run-through - Have each student or group perform their character showcase piece. Provide feedback and encouragement.

Activity 3 (5 mins): Costume Parade - If possible, allow students to showcase their costumes and props related to their characters.

Activity 4 (5 mins): Celebration & Farewell - Congratulate students on their hard work and dedication. Share highlights from the class and encourage them to continue exploring the world of theater and Disney characters.

Throughout each class, remember to maintain a positive and supportive atmosphere, encouraging creativity, participation, and teamwork among the students. Adjust activities and timing as needed based on the group's dynamics and progress.
