In this creative writing class, students will craft a story from start to finish, focusing on sentence structure. Together, we will add details to make the story engaging for the reader. We will make revisions and edits to improve our writing. Students will be encouraged to let their imagination run wild in this creative writing piece, adding sensory details to their sentences. If your child is struggling with writer's block, be sure to join us. We will end the class with a completed creative writing piece that students will be excited to share.

I am a teacher with 14 years of experience. I have taught K-5th grade. My passion for teaching started at a very young age and it only grew as I started my own education journey. Through college I also focused on studio art and have continued to be an avid painter since. As an educator, I believe that all students deserve access to lessons that are geared towards them. Everyone learns differently, the expectation that all students will be reached in the same way at the same time is simply unrealistic.
