I have taught History and Government/Civics to elementary and middle school students for many years. I have a special interest and deep appreciation for what makes the US government unique in our world. I like to help students develop their own understanding and appreciation of how the US government works.

Material taught in this class comes from these sources:

Official US Government websites:
https://www.recreation.gov
https://www.usa.gov

National Park Service:
https://www.nps.gov/articles/000/dc-presidential-memorials-360.htm

Encyclopedia Britanica:
https://www.britannica.com/place/Washington-DC/Monuments-and-memorials

Students need no prior knowledge to join and enjoy this class. Student will have lots of opportunity to contribute to the discussion with the teacher and with other students.
This class will not discuss politics. The platforms of the Republican and Democrat parties will not be covered. There will be no discussion or debate about the platform of each party. Popularity and opinions about particular presidents will not be discussed.
When discussing the Supreme Court, there will be no discussion of controversial Justices or court cases.
