This ongoing class will review 3rd grade standards over a multi-week period during the school year and an abbreviated, 8 weeks over the summer, hitting the larger concepts of third grade math. This class is in the ongoing format so you can pick and choose which topics you and your student would like to focus on. This class is a good fit for 3rd graders wanting to keep skills fresh, or 2nd graders wanting to get a jump start on 3rd grade standards. In each session students will have the opportunity to:

*See me model the standard and apply it to real life situations.

**Have time to practice our focus concept while I assist and provide support.

*Have the opportunity to practice independently while I provide directed feedback to ensure students understand the concept taught

* Participate in an engaging group game or activity to practice what we have learned in that session.  

In order to be sure each student receives individual attention and support, I keep the class sizes on the smaller size, with no more than 5 students per session. I find this helps students interact on a more personal level. 

Our remaining SPRING classes are as follows:

Week of April 7: Area
Week of April 14: Perimeter
Week of April 21: Area and Perimeter review/Word Problems
Week of April 28: Time/Elapsed Time
Week of May 5: Measurement - Liters, ml, g, and kg

This is the end of this cycle. Cycle will begin again during the week of June 30th.

Week 2: (Week of July 7) Add/Subtract within 1000, with regrouping
Week 3: (Week of July 14) Intro to Multiplication
Week 4: (Week of July 21) Multiplication within 100
Week 5: (Week of July 28) Concepts of Division
Week 6: (Week of Aug 4) Multiplication and Division within 100/Using Word Problems
Week 7: (Week of Aug 11)  Fractions: Identifying, Number Line, Equivalent, and Comparing Fractions
Week 8: (Week of Aug 18) Area and Perimeter
