𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗝𝗮𝗱𝗲 (𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿):
I started my path to teaching in college when I volunteered with AmeriCorps.  I went on to teach in traditional public schools after I completed my M.Ed. and received my teaching license, but I quickly learned the school environment was not the ideal setting for myself or my child.  That is when I transitioned to homeschooling and teaching online.  I have been teaching writing course for fifteen years.  My primary objective in each class is to help the learners feel comfortable and gain confidence in their writing.

All Academy teachers have experience and background in providing writing instruction with continued professional development and training.

詳細: Learners will receive writing assignments, and dedicated class time will be focused on activities such as brainstorming, grammar lessons, and outlining. Feedback on learner's work will be provided during class.
Assessment

詳細: Some work will be completed in class such as brainstorming and outlining.  Individual writing will be assigned as homework.  Rubrics and guidelines will be provided to ensure the learner knows the expectations.  All work will receive feedback in-text and on the rubric.

詳細: Percentage grades will be provided on all final drafts that are submitted.

Private one-on-one writing tutoring can be modified to accommodate unique learning needs such as ADHD, Dyslexia, and ASD. For children with ADHD, we can break lessons into shorter segments with frequent breaks and interactive activities to 

Learners should have some basic knowledge about sentence structure and grammar rules; however, if these skills that need to be covered, it will be determined during the initial assessment.
