Join our captivating Ocean Explorers Club, where we gather once a week to delve into the enchanting world of ocean animals. Each session will be a voyage of discovery as we focus on a different marine creature, exploring its unique characteristics, habitat, locomotion, and dietary preferences. We'll engage in interactive discussions, fueled by captivating pictures and videos that ignite curiosity and inspire questions. As we dive deeper into our topics, we'll also ponder if these aquatic animals can be found near our own localities, fostering a connection between the students and their surroundings. But that's not all! Our club isn't just about learning; it's about experiencing the magic of the ocean firsthand. We'll emulate the movements of various aquatic and semi-aquatic creatures, immersing ourselves in their world through playful and engaging games. Furthermore, students will be encouraged to unleash their creativity and draw the animal they've learned about, igniting their imagination and artistic expression. This class is a harmonious blend of movement, conversation, and imagination. It's a joyful and informative journey that encourages the students to build connections with their peers, fostering a sense of camaraderie and shared passion. The students can color the page I send each week or choose to join me in drawing the creature at the end of class. Get ready to embark on an unforgettable adventure that combines fun, knowledge, and the wonders of the deep blue sea. 2021 Week 1- April 4th-10th: Crabs Week 2- April 11th-17th: Sea Horse Week 3- April 18th-24th: Dolphins Week 4-April 25th-May 1st: Turtles Week 5- May 3rd- May 8th: Eels Week 6- May 9th- May 15th: Sea Otters Week 7- May 16th- May 22nd: Puffer Fish Week 8- May 23rd- May 29th: Orcas (Killer Whales) Week 9- May 30th- June 5th: Jellyfish Week 10- June 6th- June 12th: Whale Sharks Week 11- June 13th- June 19th: Octopus Week 12- June 20th - June 26th: StarFish Week 13- June 27th July 3rd: Shrimp Week 14- July 4th - July 10th: Clownfish Week 15- July 11th- July 17th: Narwhals Week 16- July 18th- July 24th: Parrotfish Week 17- Aug. 8th- Aug. 14th: Puffins Week 18- Aug. 15th- Aug 21st: Sailfish Week 19- Aug. 22nd- Aug. 28th: Pilot Whales Week 20- Aug. 29th- Sept. 4th: Cutest Sea Creatures Week 21- Sept. 5th- Sept. 11th: Lionfish Week 22- Sept. 12th- Sept. 18th: Leafy Sea Dragon Week 23- Sept 19th- Sept 25th: Penguins Week 24- Sept. 26th- Oct. 2nd: Coolest Sea Slugs Week 25- Oct. 3rd- Oct. 9th: Sea Snake Week 26- Oct. 10th- Oct. 16th: Nurse Sharks Week 27- Oct. 17th- Oct. 23rd: Frog Fish Week 28- Oct. 24th- 30th: No Class Week 29: Oct. 31st- Nov. 6th: Great White Shark (Shark Mask Printable) Week 30: Nov. 7th- Nov. 13th: Marine Iguana Week 31: Nov. 14th- 20th: Mantis Shrimp Week 32: Nov. 21st-27th: Cuttlefish Week 33: Nov. 28th- 4th: Beluga Whale Week 34: Dec. 5th- 11th: Platypus (Student request- freshwater) Week 35: Dec. 12th-18th: Crocodiles and Alligators Week 36: Dec. 19th-25th: Christmas Tree Coral Week 37: Dec. 26-1st: Pelican Eel/Gulper Eel 2022 Week 38: Jan. 2nd-8th: Flying Fish Week 39: Jan. 9th-15th: Seals Week 40: Jan. 16th-22th: Stingray Week 41: Jan. 23rd-29th: Basking Shark Week 42: Jan. 30th-5th: Batfish Week 43: Feb. 6th- Feb. 12th: Bioluminescence/Bioluminescent Sharks Week 44: Feb. 13th- Feb. 19th: Manta Ray/ Devil Ray Week 45: Feb. 20th- Feb 26th: Sunfish Week 46: Feb. 27th- Mar. 5th: File Fish Week 47: Mar. 6th- Mar. 12th: Hammerhead Sharks Week 48: Mar. 13th- Mar. 19th: Stargazers Week 49: Mar. 20th- Mar. 26th: Oarfish Week 50: Mar. 27th- Apr. 2nd: Pederson Cleaning Shrimps Week 51: Apr. 3rd- Flounder /Triple Tail Week 52: April 10- Spotted Drum Fish Week 53: April 17- Barracuda Week 54: April 24- Squirrel Fish Week 55: May 1 - Flying Gurnard Week 56: May 8- Ghost Shark Week 57: May 15- Piranhas Week 58: May 22- Coolest Deep-Sea Creatures Week 59: May 29- Leatherback Sea Turtles Week 60: June 5- Vampire Squid Week 61: June 12- Harlequin Shrimp Week 62: June 19th- Sea Salp Week 63: June 26th- Frogs Week 64: July 3rd- Great White Sharks (No Class Wednesday, July 6th) Week 65: July July 10th- Coffin Fish Week 66: July 17th- Giant Squid/Colossal Squid Week 67: July 24th- Black Swallower Week 68: July 31st- Octopus Week 69: August 7th -Sheepshead Week 70: August 14th- Lamprey Week 71: August 21st- Leafy Sea Dragon Week 72: August 28th- Dwarf Lantern Shark Week 73: September 4th- The Blue Whale Week 74: September 11th- Clownfish Week 75: September 18th- Dumbo Octopus Week 76: September 25th- NO CLASS Week 77: October 2nd- Fangtooth Fish Week 78: October 9th- Puffins Week 79: October 16th- Giant isopod Week 80:October 23rd- Mantis Shrimp Week 81: October 30th- Manatees Week 82: November 6th- Goose Barnacle Week 83: November 13th: The Cone Snail Week 84: November 20th: Jellyfish Week 85: November 27th: Sea Snake Week 86: December 4th: Crocodiles and Alligators Week 87: December 11th: Turtles Week 88: December 18th: Christmas Tree Coral Week 89: December 25th: Whale Sharks 2023 Week 90: January 1st: Marine Iguana Week 91: January 8th: Eels Week 92: January 15th: Starfish Week 93: January 22nd: Parrotfish Week 94: January 29th: Pilot Whales Week 95: February 5th: Frog Fish Week 96: February 12th: Stingray Week 97: February 19th: Flying Fish Week 98: February 26th: Cuttlefish Week 99: March 5th: Eagle Ray Week 100: March 12th- Lionfish Week 101: March 19th- Coolest Sea Slugs Week 102: March 26th- Walrus Week 103: April 2nd- GAME DAY! My teaching style: My teaching style can be described as a delightful blend of fun, encouragement, and inclusivity. I believe in creating an enjoyable learning environment where students can have a great time while also remembering important rules to ensure a smooth class experience. One of my priorities is to foster a culture of sharing and interaction among students, encouraging active participation. However, I am mindful of the needs of shy learners, providing them with a comfortable space to observe and engage at their own pace. I strive to accommodate various learning styles, making sure that all students feel included and valued in my class. My ultimate goal is to ignite a spark of curiosity and excitement in each student, leaving them eager to share the fascinating facts they've learned long after the class has ended. With an engaging, energetic, and enthusiastic teaching approach, I aim to cultivate a love for learning in my students. While maintaining a professional demeanor, I also inject a touch of silliness to keep the atmosphere light-hearted and enjoyable. Above all, I am passionate about instilling a deep appreciation for the wonders of the natural world in each and every student I have the privilege to teach.

I am absolutely thrilled to have the privilege of teaching your child. With a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, a 120-hour TEFOL Certificate, and a PADI Scuba Divemaster certificate, I bring a wealth of teaching experience to the online classroom.
Over the years, I have taught in public and private schools, offered personalized one-on-one tutoring, conducted engaging online classes, and served as a dedicated camp counselor. Teaching is not just a profession for me; it's a true passion, and I am eager to share my expertise with your child.
My areas of expertise encompass a wide range, including the exciting realms of exploring living animals, English as a Second Language (ESL), Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and more.
As a former camp counselor, I had the privilege of leading students on captivating exploration hikes and engaging experiments that ignited their curiosity about the natural world. My lifelong fascination with animals even led me to obtain a PADI Dive Master certificate, allowing me to introduce young students to the wonders of scuba diving and the ocean's mysteries.
During my college years, I earned an endorsement in Language Arts. For the past four years, I have dedicated myself to teaching ESL online, forging connections with students from diverse backgrounds worldwide. Teaching the English language is a source of great joy for me, and I employ fun and creative techniques to help students of varying proficiency levels master this important skill.
My passion for all creatures, from insects and arachnids to mollusks, drives me to inspire and connect with my students. I encourage them to observe and enthusiastically share their discoveries of fascinating creatures from their own surroundings during our classes. Additionally, I create opportunities for students who share similar interests to socialize and learn together.
Building connections with my students is a top priority, and I actively encourage them to participate and share their knowledge on every topic. Throughout our classes, I will provide personal videos and photographs from the topics we study, and I eagerly anticipate your child's contributions as well.
