Students will dive into a thought provoking and interesting novel, along side their Certified Science of Reading literacy specialist. Learning goals include reading comprehension, vocabulary, making predictions and analyzing themes.

Homework

詳細: Between classes and in preparation for the next section, your student will be provided with a short homework packet. It consists of 4 pages: vocabulary definitions, vocabulary use, multiple choice questions about what they've read and a chapter summary. It is due by the beginning of the next class.

Completing this will help them recall what they've read and be prepared to discuss in class. The next week's homework packet will be available immediately following our current week's class. 
Assessment

詳細: A personalized Certificate of Completion will be provided for students who complete all homework packets and contribute to class discussions. 

Neurodiverse learners are welcome, with sufficient communication from parents with how to best support your learner. 

Your student should be comfortable reading aloud and completing a short, weekly homework assignment.
