Anne Shirley is one of the most memorable characters in literature. With her strong-willed yet caring spirit, this delightful redhead is sure to capture your reader's heart. Through teacher directed but student led discussion, students will search for societal and emotional themes and observe the author's writing technique. Because of the length of the novel, students will read the majority of the text before each session and come prepared for class discussion. I have counted 𝘈𝘯𝘯𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘎𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘎𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘴 as one of my favorite novels for many years and hope my love of the novel will help make this story come alive for your student.
