We will be discussing the differences between a proper noun and a common noun. I will share explanations and examples by white board, and power point. My teaching style is patient and upbeat. I will give students a chance to answer questions about what we are learning. Learners will be able to interact with me, and time permitting, at the end we will play a game and award points for correctly identifying the differences between the two types of nouns. Also, if the student has any of their own examples, we can try those out together, time permitting. Learners can start with very little knowledge of the different nouns.

I have attached 2 sheets. We will work on them together in class. If you are not able to print them off, we will still be able to go over them in class. Some paper and a pencil, or a white board and dry erase pens would be very useful for this class.

I teach Reading, Grammar, History and have: taught full-time, and worked as a substitute teaching many different subjects in classes from Kinder to 12th grade. My majors in college ranged from Child Development, to Theater Arts, to English, and an additional History minor. In addition to teaching I am a published author.
