In this ongoing class. Students will follow the teacher to learn simple Chinese songs, Nursery Rhymes. music & movement. We will also listen to stories and read simple Chinese books. This reading session follows a guided reading model. Students will work on sight words, and focus on essential phonics skills. Class is very structured and follows a specific pattern for each category. Students will experience Chinese speaking growth and gain confidence in their Chinese speaking abilities. NO EXPERIENCE or KNOWLEDGE LEARNERS NEED. Children will enjoy the activities including drama, storytelling, music and movement, art and craft, and writing practice, all of which motivate competency in a fun and enjoyable way. 

Here are some sample themes we are going to learn in class.

Theme 1: Introduce themselves to other learners. We will practice the sentence " Hello, My name is ......"

 Theme 2: Number  1-10. We will practice sentences "How old are you?" and "I am ___ years old." number writing in Chinese.

Theme 3: All about animals! We will learn the most common animal names including pets. Students can request specific animals. 

 Theme 4: All about colors! "What is your favorite color? My favorite color is ____." 

 Theme 5: All about the weather." how is the day today? My favorite weather is _____''

Theme 6: All about fruits "Which fruits do you like?" We will read a book about fruits.
