Students will learn how to solve 2 digit by 2 digit multiplication problems using the partial products strategy. The topics covered are basic multiplication, place value intertwined, multi-digit multiplication, and addition. My class will be structured in the simple format of I do, we do it together, and they do some strictly on their own. I will teach the concept through a whiteboard using examples, labels, and step by step directions. The learners will get a chance to interact with each other by guiding and supporting their peers while also asking questions for me. Learners need to already know how to add 4 digit by 4 digits problems and solve basic 1 by 1 digit multiplication.
