Calling all Minecrafters!  Improve your Minecraft skills and build friendships in a safe environment.  Let’s build something together!

This class is an ongoing learner-directed class in which the topic of conversation is determined by what each student is building in that class.  The goal of this class is to enhance your learner’s imagination, build confidence in self-direction, and also see the value of working together as a team.  And to have fun!!  Beginner to advanced students are welcome.  

Learners will have fun building with other learners who love Minecraft as much as they do.  The learner can join the server when the class begins. 

Because this is the Bedrock Edition also known as Microsoft 10, and Pocket Edition, Java Edition will not work in this class.  However, Windows 10 PCs, Xbox One and Series S/X, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 iOS, iPadOS devices, and Android devices are able to join this class!   

Please note I do not use breakout rooms in my social classes. I will mute if I need to be heard, if a quiet participant is trying to be heard or if there is excessive background noise, but generally, I encourage the practice of respect and kindness by allowing others to take turns expressing themselves for a positive social experience.

Absolutely no “Griefing” is allowed in my realm.  “Griefing” is a name for a type of bullying that can happen in Minecraft. It can happen on multi-player games online. It's when someone damages a person's buildings, sets harmful traps, or steals all of their items on purpose, just to be mean.  If a learner is caught “griefing” I will speak to the parent, if it happens twice they will be removed from the server.  

Minecraft app and Microsoft account required.  Please make sure you have the parental controls set so that the learner will be able to join my realm. (Multiplayer Permissions should be enabled) Also, make sure you have Minecraft Bedrock downloaded and updated.  If possible learners should play Minecraft on a separate device (iPhone, iPad, Tablet, or another computer) from what they take their Outschool class on to have the best social experience possible.

Private servers are important for educators to help keep our Learners safe while enjoying their online gameplay, your childs gamer tags will be necessary to join my private server. Please be sure to keep the following in mind as well.
 * Please message me your gamer tags directly through a private message
 * Please don't share your gamer tags on the classroom page.
