モンテッソーリの読み書き指導: フォニックスと二重音字入門

🧡This tutorial is designed for young learners who need guidance to read and spell words with phonograms/digraphs: letter combinations that make a new sound.

🧡 CLASS CONTENT: 
Via screen-sharing: 
1️⃣🎶 with an original slideshow we sing a letter-sound song for the entire alphabet, then sing the ABC Song!

2️⃣ 🖼️ I introduce eight colorful photos, focusing on names and descriptions.

3️⃣ 🔡 I demonstrate the Montessori color-coded alphabet with phonetic letter sounds and photos. We sound out and spell words such as "sand" and "cactus." Half of these words include the target digraph, such as "train," "nails" and "raindrops." 

4️⃣ 📝 Using the dotted-font word list provided, I demonstrate writing each word twice while spelling the letter names.

5️⃣ 📖 With guidance, the learner reads each label, uses the word in a sentence, and observes as I match each label with a picture. Fun discussion is included!

6️⃣ 🎉 I guide a fun cooperative BINGO game, emphasizing picture description, conversation and spelling letter names. If the learner feels ready to read books aloud, we will also read a short digital book from Pioneer Valley Books, via screen-sharing.

😊 My teaching style is warm, attentive and patient. This class is similar to a Montessori classroom experience; an enthusiastic one-on-one lesson on vocabulary, letter sounds, spelling, conversation, and learning to read! We'll end each meeting with a brief goodbye song with live autoharp accompaniment.

🧡 Each session focuses on reading 8 words; 4 phonetic, and 4 that offer practice with a target digraph such as "fast, lamp, bells, buns, soap, loaf, goat, toads."
