マインクラフトの読解

Using Minecraft to enhance reading comprehension can be a highly effective and engaging way for students to interact with a text and deepen their understanding of the material.

In this class, we will explore the Minecraft universe and learn comprehension skills such as finding the main idea, citing text evidence, locating details, using context clues to figure out unfamiliar vocabulary, making inferences, analyzing characters traits, and much more. 

All sessions are aligned to ELA standards that have been divided into the four strands that I will be teaching:
1. Reading : Literature (RL), Informational Text–(RI), Foundational Skills–(RF)
2. Writing (W)
3.Speaking and listening (SL)
4. Language (L) 

The teaching method I will be using to teach ELA standards is the:  
"I Do, We Do, You Do"Model.  I have found this instructional practice to be the most effective when teaching challenging skills and concepts. 

Class Structure: 
- Review of prior concepts 
- Learning new concepts
- Guided group practice
- Individual supported practice
- Sharing of work
- Games to reinforce new concepts
