Students will acquire the Spanish language naturally while having fun reading a short story in Spanish,  learning new vocabulary words, and playing traditional games to reinforce vocabulary. 

I have been a certified Spanish teacher for the past 24 years.  I have a masters in education.  I lived and studied in Spain for several years so I have a true Spanish accent (castellano). I have attended CI (comprehensible Input) conferences and implement the CI teaching strategy into my lessons.

There will be minimal work to do outside of class, however, it is highly suggested that families encourage their children to practice Quizlet flashcards to expand and strengthen vocabulary and structures. Practicing outside of class will give students the opportunity to relate the class material to their own life and environment which will help cement the new language in their brains.
