テスト
At the end of each week, students will have an assessment on the content that we learned that week. This will be used for students who need a grade published at the end of the semester. It will also be used to aid in discussion on live class days.

Beginner レベル向け
I'll cover a range of topics in physical science based on NSTA standards, from motion and forces to energy, electricity, magnetism, and optics. Our class structure will include live sessions for discussion and Q&A, where we'll explore concepts using digital notebooks, doodle note-taking, edpuzzles, games, and labs. I'll use a hands-on teaching style, encouraging active participation through lectures, interactive games, slides, video clips, and discussions, ensuring learners engage deeply with the material. Students will interact with me through live lectures, interactive games, collaborative discussions, and video clips, fostering a dynamic and engaging learning environment.

Here's what a typical week will look like:

Live class. We will discuss the past weeks assignment, answer questions, and have a group discussion. Once students are feeling good, we will move on to that weeks topic. We will do this in a variety of ways: old school note taking, doodle notes, demonstrations, lab activities, modeling, gaming, etc. Once I have a feel for the learning styles that my students prefer, I usually modify how I use live days.

The rest of the week: Students will have a digital notebook to complete. It will practice the concepts covered in our group lesson AND concepts we didn't discuss. Anything not included in the live class, always has a video lesson students can refer to. These video lessons will be mostly teacher made - but occasionally will be youtube videos and interactive videos.

At the end of each week, students will have some form of knowledge check. If your learner needs a grade report, these will be the grades that will be averaged together for your learner.

学習到達目標

Develop critical thinking and inquiry skills through hands-on labs, digital notebook activities, and collaborative discussions, fostering a deeper understanding of scientific concepts and promoting lifelong learning in the field of physical science.
Explore the interplay between electricity, magnetism, and optics, as per NSTA standards, to comprehend the fundamental principles governing electromagnetic phenomena and their practical applications in technology and everyday life.

Forces and Motion Week 1
In the first week, students will explore the fundamental concepts of motion, including distance, displacement, speed, velocity, and acceleration, followed by Newton's First Law and the concept of inertia. They will then identify different types of forces, both contact and non-contact, and observe their effects on motion through hands-on experiments. The week will conclude with an exploration of Newton's Second Law, focusing on the relationship between force, mass, and acceleration. Throughout t

レッスン 4:
Forces in Motion Week 2
In the second week, students will delve into Newton's Third Law of Motion, learning about action and reaction forces through experiments and real-life examples. They will investigate the concepts of friction and air resistance, examining how these forces affect motion. The week will also cover gravitational force and free fall, with students conducting experiments to observe gravity's impact on different objects. Finally, students will apply their knowledge to solve complex motion problems.

学習ニーズ
If you've been in my biology class, you'll be familiar with my approach, which includes modeling, interactive note-taking, and engaging questions. Join us for an exciting and fun learning experience!
受講に必要なもの
Students will be given a digital notebook so Google Drive is an absolute need for this class. I will also use edpuzzle to share a lot of my videos - so that students can interact with the content on non instructional days.
