Students will improve their skills in English Language Arts (writing, reading, listening, speaking, grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation). The lesson plans for this class are aligned with the Common Core Standards for grades 6-8. The lessons do NOT depend on each other and students can join in anytime. 

I have been teaching English for over twenty years and I love helping middle-school kids achieve their goals. My daughter is in middle school too, so at this time, I also have a personal relationship with these topics!

Depending on the skill in focus that day, the students might have to practice what they have learned for about an hour outside of class. This could be reading comprehension questions to be submitted to the teacher, or writing an essay etc.
