Welcome to 5th Grade Math! This class is designed to help students build confidence and strengthen key math skills through clear instruction, critical thinking, and engaging activities. Each week, we’ll focus on essential concepts such as place value, multiplication and division, fractions and decimals, word problems, and problem-solving strategies. Students will not only learn how to solve math problems—but also why the methods work—helping them develop a deeper understanding of math. Whether your learner needs extra support, wants to review key skills, or is ready to stretch their thinking, this course provides a supportive and fun environment where all students can grow! This course provides students with the tools and confidence to succeed in 5th grade math and beyond. Students will: -Practice key math concepts, including multi-digit multiplication and division, fractions, decimals, and word problems -Strengthen number sense and place value understanding -Learn and apply step-by-step strategies for solving math problems -Build confidence in explaining their thinking and using math vocabulary -Engage in interactive games and activities that make learning math fun and meaningful -Develop problem-solving and reasoning skills in a positive, supportive environment
