週1時間. Homework will be assigned each week so that students can review and practice the skills that were learned in that week's class. This homework should take approximately 15-30 minutes total and will (most of the time) come in the form of a worksheet that I will provide. If it is not a worksheet, it will be a creative assignment that will not require specific supplies. If students have questions regarding the homework, I encourage them to post in our classroom or message me directly, so that I can provide an explanation. I like my students to know that I am reachable through the platform outside of our scheduled class time.テスト
While I will offer feedback on homework, I do not provide letter grades. At the end of the 13-weeks, I will provide a feedback card that will include whether a student needs work, has emerging skills, or has skill mastery of each of the skills taught. In this 13-week, foundational math class, students will have the opportunity to learn and practice specific math topics (please see the schedule below) in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. We will use a digital whiteboard, conversation, and examples to utilize as many of our senses as possible to reach learners of all types. This class is created as a semester-long, full curriculum with students who are new to the topics in mind. However, students who need review or practice are always welcome as are homeschool students. Week 1: Counting 1-100, Number recognition, reading numbers out loud Week 2: Place Value - Ones and Tens, How are they related? Why is place value important? Week 3: Basic Addition (2 digits, with no regrouping) Week 4: Basic Addition (2 digits, with regrouping) Week 5: Basic Subtraction (2 digits, with no regrouping) Week 6: Basic Subtraction (2 digits, with regrouping) Week 7: Fact Families (addition and subtraction) Week 8: Telling time (analog and digital, matching clocks, am and pm) Week 9: Pictographs (plotting data and interpreting graphs and their meanings) Week 10: Bar Graphs (plotting data and interpreting graphs and their meanings) Week 11: Line Plots (plotting data and interpreting graphs and their meanings) Week 12: Identifying 2-D shapes: names, how many sides, how many vertices Week 13: Symmetry (What does it mean? Finding lines of symmetry, creating symmetry) In each class, students will have the opportunity to practice, ask questions, and solidify their understanding of key concepts. Homework will be assigned each week to encourage students to review what was learned in that week's class. If students have questions between classes, I would encourage them to post in our classroom and I will respond. I feel that children should be encouraged to follow their passions. Children need to know that they can have what they want for their lives if they have the correct tools and motivation to get there. I hope to help build confidence in my students and to give them some of those tools. I also believe that not every child learns the same way. Education is not a one-size-fits-all experience. I look forward to helping your child learn how they learn. While I offer an extensive collection of class content choices, my specialty is meeting students where they’re at and making the course material accessible to all students, regardless of the topic. I love to be silly with my students and encourage interaction in all of my classes. I want learners to feel at ease and safe to be themselves in my classroom. My small class sizes and relaxed, encouraging teaching style allow me to tailor my classes to each student’s needs and learning style, resulting in learners walking away from class confident and smiling.

I am a homeschooling mom of five kids, ranging in age from ten to nineteen. We are diving into our 6th year of homeschool and we love it. I have a passion for both education and creativity and I love combining the two whenever I can. When I'm not teaching (my kids or someone else's), I run a business based purely on creativity and art.
Traveling (and 8 years of formal classes) gave me a handle on the Spanish language. I have a background in general education from 19 years of combined experience teaching in public and charter school settings, as well as tutoring one on one, ESL, and running various camps and activities. My experience ranges from childcare (infant) age all the way through high school age and includes work with neurodiverse and special needs students, as well as students with mental health issues.
I have a passion for, and educational background in Graphic Art/Design, however, my degrees are AA in Liberal Studies and a BA in General Studies with a concentration in Psychology. I am also TESOL certified.
