数学: 恐竜と一緒に 1 から 10 までの数字を学ぶ (FLEX)

This 6-week flex course does not include any live lessons. Students will be able to access all materials and content via the classroom page on Outschool once enrolled.

This course is ideal for students who are beginning to recognize the numbers 1-10, learning to count, and starting basic addition and subtraction sum and who LOVE dinosaurs!
The course focuses solely on the numbers 1-10 and covers:
- number recognition
- learning to count
- number bonds to 10 (addition facts)
- addition to 10
- subtraction number bonds
- subtraction from 10.

Students will learn through various resources and content posted within the classroom. Videos will be posted with counting songs such as ten little dinosaurs and to demonstrate different activities to be completed at home. All activities are focused on using manipulatives either from your home if you have dinosaur-themed toys/stickers, or using the printables provided.

Each week, students are provided with up to three video lessons. Printable resources have been specifically designed and created for this course only including a number line, playdough number mats, 1-10 flashcards, counting game, pterodactyl fishing for addition, and more. Nearpod is also used within week one as a review activity for counting and recognizing numbers 1-10.

All activities are dinosaur-themed to help encourage engagement and interest in learning math facts.

Here is an example week of activities:
Week one: Learning to count and recognize the numbers 1-10
- A video will be posted at the beginning of the week sharing the numbers one to 10 with a visual aid for each number and flashcard.
- A further video will be shared singing a dinosaur counting song where students are encouraged to use manipulatives whilst singing along to the song.
- We will make a colour in dinosaur number line for students to refer to during the course.
- Students will receive a link via the classroom for their first Nearpod interactive lesson, where they are required to match number flashcards with the correct images, count and write the correct amount, and fill in the gaps on number lines and audio clips.
- Students will be provided playdough mats to create the numbers 1-10 and the equivalent amount of dinosaurs.
- Students will be given printable dinosaur puzzle pictures which order the numbers 1-10, flashcards, and number handwriting sheets.

The remainder of the course will follow a similar layout, with students interacting via the classroom sending videos and pictures of their creations at home from the weekly challenges set and the printables provided from my own printable store.

Every week, students are provided with videos on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Students are also given weekly printable materials to help them participate in each week's activities. 

This class offers a very hands-on method of learning, using a variety of manipulatives to help young learners grasp new math concepts through fun and engaging lessons.
