The Math Counts Class with Ms. Sabrina is focusing on using different manipulatives for the children to get a better understanding on how to count and connecting the numerals to their quantities. The class will be held on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 2:30pm- 3:00pm. This class is for children 3 to 5 years old. The children will be able to demonstrate fine- motor strength and coordination by using their fingers and hands to pick up manipulatives to count and using writing and drawing tools for their worksheets. The children will be able to listen to increasingly complex language by following directions, gain knowledge on how to use number concepts as far as counting and connecting numerals with their quantities.
I will provide quantity matching worksheets that have the basic concept of the numbers 1-10,and 10-20,20-30,30-40,and 40-50. Have cut out manipulatives such as 1 white diamond, 2 green triangles, 3 blue squares, 4 purple circles, and 5 red hearts.
