Let's master phonics and begin reading! This class, tailored for beginner or intermediate readers aged 6-9, focuses on using phonics to sound out words accurately and improve automaticity.

1) Book Selection: Dive into decodable books targeting specific phonics skills, not just reading levels.
2) Skill Enhancement: Engaging activities enhance phonemic awareness and reading skills.
3) Guided Reading: I'll provide the book, guided reading, and modeling word decoding.
4) Book Discussion: Comprehension questions deepen understanding and analysis.
5) At-Home Practice: Detailed feedback and word lists for continued improvement.

No need to assist with correcting the student during class—I've got it covered! I am also collecting data and assessing the student's reading ability, so please do not help your child to sound out words.

Here's what we cover:
* Phonemic awareness
* Synthetic phonics
* Decoding techniques
* Sight words & vocabulary
* Reading comprehension

Assessment: Each child is assessed at the beginning of the first lesson. Then, the child will be assessed at the end of every lesson. The evaluation entailed reading sentences out loud. I will be monitoring accuracy, speed, and automaticity. Please allow the student to attempt to read the words themselves during the assessment. I will assist them in sounding them out during the test.

Cancellation policy:

You can cancel or reschedule a future meeting by going to the classroom and clicking on Meetings.
If you cancel within 24 hours of payment or the Sunday auto-renewal date, the system will issue a refund.
If you cancel after Sunday's auto-renewal, you will not receive a refund.
You can reschedule a class up to 48 hours before the meeting by editing your meetings in the classroom.
