Guys, do your parents nag you to "mind your manners"? Do people compain that you are rude? Do friends remark that you dress like a slob? Do you want to learn how to be a cool gentleman in a setting with your male counterparts before venturing into social settings? Being a gentleman doesn't have to be boring or stuffy. Becoming a gentleman by learning good manners and etiquette rules will provide you opportunities later in life. Being a gentleman is cool!
In this course, we will explore what it means to be a gentleman. We will be learning American and European etiquette techniques and manners. From good conversation and grooming to clothing choices and dining manners, we will discuss what it takes to be a cool and polite gentleman in today's world. We will have a special guest visit from a polished and ultra-cool guy who has naviagted those awkward teenage years and is now a respected gentleman in many social circles. Get your etiquette and manners questions ready!
Week one -- Why can't I wear a baseball cap and T-shirt to my aunt's wedding and why should I learn to use the right fork? Learning what to wear to any event and how to have good table manners.
Week two -- What do you mean I have to have to take a shower and sit up straight? Learning why hygiene and posture are important.
Week three -- How do I talk to girls or adults and not sound dumb? Learning the art of conversation in any group.
Other topics we will discuss: eye contact, mumbling, gross habits, introverts/extroverts, respectful language, setting a table, tying a tie.
We will have fun trivia quizes and great conversations.
