This class is part of my Contemporary Artist Series, in which we learn about artists from the mid-20th century to today, analyze their art style and subject, and make a creation inspired by their art. Paper (watercolor paper or other heavy paper, such as Bristol, strongly recommended due to the fact that we will be painting with watercolors) Pencils, sharpener, eraser Black permanent marker for outlining (permanent is important; water-based marker lines will wash into the watercolor): Sharpie brand, Micron, or similar work great for this project. Watercolors. These can be in the pan, such as Crayola, or tubes...whatever you have will work! Paint brushes Cup of water Paper towels newspapers or other way to protect table/workspace while painting.
