宿題:
週あたり 2-4 時間. These will be small activities that the students will be able to implement right away after class. They will be expected to post up the visuals or add them to their daily life. I will have a personal check-in for the student to complete each day to help them create realistic and maintainable expectations. These will require some support from the parents but then will move to a faded scaffold for students to become independent in their daily routines.
テスト
We will be checking in with the students to see how organized they me become. This will be an informal assessment based on personal goals that they set.

教師の専門知識と資格
As a dedicated special education teacher with over seven years of experience teaching executive functioning skills to students in grades K-9, I bring both professional expertise and personal understanding to this course. My background includes working with diverse learners, including students with ADHD, ASD, and other unique learning needs, helping them develop essential strategies for organization, time management, and focus in various school and home environments.

I have successfully taught these skills in classroom settings, small groups, and 1-on-1 sessions, tailoring strategies to meet the unique needs of each learner. My approach combines research-based techniques with a warm, supportive teaching style to help students feel confident and empowered.

In addition to my professional experience, I’m also a parent of children who struggle with executive functioning skills. Using the same tools and strategies I teach in this course, my children have learned how to organize their tasks, manage their time, and stay focused, achieving greater success both in and out of school.

This dual perspective—as an educator and parent—has given me invaluable insights into what truly works to help children build these life-changing skills. I’m passionate about creating a positive, individualized learning environment where every student can thrive and reach their potential.
