In this ongoing class, we will get to know each other and build community as we practice our English skills together. Each week, the teacher will come with a topic and discussion questions for guiding our conversation. Students will participate in teacher-lead discussion by doing their best to answer questions fully as well as asking their classmates questions. The teacher will correct pronunciation and grammatical errors as well as encourage in-depth dialog between students. To fully engage with this class, students need to be able to understand the main points of conversational English in a variety of everyday topics. The schedule of topics is as follows: Week of October 14: Favorite foods Week of October 21: If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? Week of October 28: If you could make three wishes, what would they be? Week of November 4: Favorite weather Week of November 11: Family ABOUT ME Mrs. Sara has been teaching for six years. She has a bachelors degree in Secondary English Education. She has been teaching ESL/EFL for four years.

Hi! My name is Sara Gatilogo. I graduated from Western Carolina University with a degree in Secondary English Education. I am certified in high school English, middle grades Language Arts, and special education. I've been an educator for 6 years in a variety of settings.
Experience:
1 year student teaching with 10th grade honors students
3 years 7th grade Exceptional Children’s Language Arts
3 years ESL online with VIPkid
Almost one year on Outschool and loving every minute of it!
I am passionate about building authentic positive relationships with my students. By modeling healthy relationships and creating a safe place for them to flourish, I hope to give my students life skills beyond the content I teach. I create safe, inviting spaces for kids to build relationships with other students, practicing the skills of empathy in the context of a caring community.
