In this small class, students will enjoy reading interesting stories with the teacher.
These skills will be covered during the course of the classes:

✱cause/effect
✱making predictions
✱plot (beginning, middle, end)

Using the books of Arnold Lobel, these skills will be taught.
Week one and two: Owl at Home by Arnold Lobel The Guest
Strange Bumps
Week three and four: Owl at Home by Arnold Lobel Upstairs and Downstairs
Owl and the Moon
Week five and six: Frog and Toad Are Friends Spring
A Lost Button
Week seven and eight: Frog and Toad Are Friends A Swim

Besides the above academic skills, the students will learn to love reading. They will enjoy reading aloud and learn to read with expression. My goal is for them to become better oral readers. They will learn to dig for information in even a simple story. I want this class to make reading fun and enjoyable to my students!その他の情報
