このクラスで学べること

**Please have Minecraft Bedrock Edition to join the class**

This class is offered in both a Group as well as 1:1.

Welcome to a world in the making! Although it began with a Mario theme (Princess Peach and Bowser Castle) the world will continue being designed to include many more attractions as time goes on. You are welcome to add to its growth by building your favorite characters and more. As this is Bedrock edition, it is accessible from your computer, laptop, tablet, phone, Xbox, Wii Switch, and PlayStation. You must already have a Microsoft account prior to the start of class. If no Microsoft account is created, the student will not be able to participate in that class. With a class involving multiple students, my ability to help with technical difficulties will be significantly limited.

The world will be Creative mode, but the option of Survival mode is available. My goal is to offer students:
-	Express themselves through building.
-	Have the opportunity to share their creative ideas and buildings with others.
-	Be reinforced by positive support.
-	Practice of good manners and respect.
-	Socializing with peers.
-	And much more!

This is a student-driven class. Once in the world, students are welcome to pick out their own room if they’d like. That’s right! There are numerous rooms for them to choose from in both Princess Peach’s castle and Bowser’s. They are welcome to decorate the interior of that room to their liking so long as it doesn’t change the exterior. A sign with their name will be put outside of it, so others respect it as someone else’s property.

Once they are settled, they are welcome to safely explore the world as well as safely work on their building skills. I’m also available to help if they’d like. Both castles also come complete with hide-and-seek on the lower level, numerous parkour challenges, as well as teleportation stations.

IMPORTANT
Please keep in mind that gamertags will be seen by other players, but it is Outschool policy not to share them among students and parents. To help this, all gamertags MUST be sent to me privately prior to the start of class. If I have not received it by the start of class, as a last resort, you may privately message me on Zoom. PLEASE don’t put the gamertags in the chat box for everyone to see.

To keep this world and its environment as family fun and positive as possible, there are rules that all students must abide by:

-	Things built in this world need to be child appropriate. This includes respecting that what may not be scary to one student, could be to another. My goal is to protect everyone’s best interest.

-	Respectful. At all times, children will exhibit respect to others by how they behave as a character, what they say over zoom, what is written in chat, as well as not destroying other people’s buildings or entering property that is already claimed by a student.

-	Spawning creatures. Spawning too many animals (etc.) can significantly cause the game to lag and even crash. Therefore, I ask that no more than FIVE animals/mobs be allowed per student.

-	As unfortunate as it is to have to list, deliberate animal cruelty will have a zero-tolerance policy. If your student is unsure what constitutes that, they should ask first, advising me of their intentions, to avoid a strike.

-	Notice I do not list specific/detailed things not allowed as I’ve learned that can include a long list that may not always be understood, as well as give bad examples to follow. If a student is ever unsure, they are encouraged to ASK first. This is the same concept taught in life and by practicing it they will become more comfortable exhibiting it.

-	I’m also aware every child is different with their own needs. Students will be given 3 strikes before being removed from the world/class itself. Please understand that you can get more than one strike at a time depending on the severity of the reason, including the immediate removal of that same class. As much as I do not like to do this, as stated above, my goal is to protect everyone’s best interests. If a student is removed from class (by receiving 3 strikes or immediate dismissal), they will have to wait for a determined amount of time to rejoin. Depending on the reason, that could be anywhere from one to six months. This is to ensure that the student has had time to work on the behavior that caused the dismissal in the first place. In some situations, the student may be too young to understand what is being asked of them. I would ask them to work on the skills in a month’s time and we can try again. In situations where the student was fully aware of what they did wrong and did so anyways, those can stretch to much longer bans. PLEASE ensure this is discussed with your child prior to class to avoid issues. If there are any questions or concerns, please email me directly.

-	If you feel that your child is still too young and new at Minecraft to follow all the rules, PLEASE consider a 1:1 class with me instead. In our 1:1, we can work on the skills together. This will give them a chance to understand and practice what would be expected of them in a group class. I would love to help them learn and ensure they can transition with as few issues, but with as many smiles, as possible. My 1:1’s are greatly on a when needed basis, so please let me know what days/times work good for you and I’ll try my best to offer a section that will work.

**All my Minecraft classes are Bedrock edition only**

Hello and welcome to my profile page. My name is Autumn. I teach Minecraft classes for children of all ages.

I am always open to suggestions on what classes students would like in the future!

A few facts about my background and education. I graduated in Spring of 2023 with a Bachelor's degree in English and Literature. I have two siblings, of which I am the middle child. I have a cat and two dogs. Some hobbies I enjoy doing are drawing, gaming, baking, writing, and reading.
