In this ongoing course, learners will develop their maths skills. This course is part of a six year primary maths course that takes a problem-solving approach to teaching young learners the skills they need to become confident mathematicians. This course contains a greater focus on the use of manipulatives in the classroom, pictorial and abstract representations to promote deeper learning, language support to help EAL students develop fluency in mathematical language. Week of 30/09/2024 - Understanding and using decimal notation Week of 07/10/2024 - Mental subtraction Week of 14/10/2024 - Number sequences Week of 21/10/2024 - Place value and partitioning Week of 28/10/2024 - Counting on and back Further classes will be added.
