In this 4-week self-paced (asynchronous) class, we will have a blast learning our letters and sounds, how to identify the beginning (first), middle (2nd), and ending (last) sounds in 3-letter words.  We will use puzzle picture cards, magnetic letters (by themselves), magnetic letters on a small whiteboard, various 3-letter words typed on an online whiteboard, and a fun Scavenger Hunt Phonics game to help you better understand how to identify letters, and the beginning, middle, and ending sounds of items around your home (or wherever you may be)!  


Each lesson will include pre-recorded, engaging educational videos.  Watch and interact with the videos at the time that is most convenient for you.  We all have separate lives, and live in different time zones.  Our days become easier to manage when we can focus on our learning when it is best for us to.  
 

Each lesson will also include a fun learning activity.  The instructions will be posted with each assignment.  All learning activities are optional.


Class learning objectives:

Lesson 1: Learn how to identify all letters and sounds of the English alphabet.
Lesson 2: Learn how to identify the beginning sound in 3-letter words.
Lesson 3: Learn how to identify the middle sound in 3-letter words.
Lesson 4: Learn how to identify the ending sound in 3-letter words.
