In this ongoing cooking and conversation class learners will learn basic knife and cooking skills while having conversation. This class is great for students of all levels, no previous cooking experience is needed. I grew up with parents who LOVE to cook and my mother has been a home economics teacher for nearly 40 years. She has fostered a love for cooking that I enjoy sharing with students.
I will supply recipes in the classroom with a list of all ingredients. Students will need access to a stove/oven, at times a grill. Here are somethings that students will need: Mixing bowls, measuring cups and spoons, stock pot/sauce pan, fry pan, baking/casserole dish , mixing spoons, aluminum foil, plastic quart sized bags great to freeze extra portions

Students will be cooking in the kitchen with hot stoves and using basic knife skills, parents may want to be present for safety. Note: This course has recipes that contain possible allergens such as nuts, wheat, dairy, eggs, or soy. I post the recipes and provide alternatives as they are needed.
