Students will learn some key tips, tricks, and grammar rules to revise and edit their own papers. We will focus on a different topic each week. After I will teach a short lesson, students will practice the trick or rule that was taught. Practice will be as a group and interactive. Revising focuses on the paper as a whole: topic sentences and conclusion sentences, relevant details, sentence flow, and word choice. Students edit papers to follow grammar rules about complete sentences, capitalization, punctuation, and spelling. 

Week 1 of the month: revising sentences 
Week 2 of the month: word choice 
Week 3 of the month: punctuation rules
Week 4 of the month: common fragment/run-on sentence mistakes 
(If there is a 5th week of the month, students can ask to talk about any revising/editing topic and we will cover it in this class.)

These class topics will repeat with new content each month.
