After introductions and quick check-in about kitchen safety, we will get busy right away baking our cookies. I will guide bakers to measure and mix up the dough. Bakers will see me put together the recipe step-by-step on my baking cam and follow along in their own kitchen. My goal is for bakers to learn how to read the recipe card and bake some delicious cookies to enjoy with their family!
I love cooking and baking and making real food with simple ingredients for myself and my family. As a gymnast growing up, and then a dancer and runner in college, I was inspired to make healthy choices and learn to cook with fresh, whole ingredients. I studied all I could from culinary/fitness magazines and books for many years and even worked for a couple of food publications during my publishing days (Bon Appetit, for one!)…but I LOVE homemade desserts! I have found that it does not take long to make it yourself and then you know the ingredients going into it and your body! I enjoy sharing my food with friends and family, and am excited to share this recipe for young bakers to try!
