Learners are welcome to jump in at any time! In this ongoing course, students will build a foundation for successful reading. Students will engage in a fun and interactive lesson to blend and read CVC words from different word families. Our class time is jam-packed with activities and games designed to help your student succeed! We will read a short story based on our word family of the week and students will practice identifying words within the story. We will also practice blending beginning sounds with our word family of the week using picture clues. I will provide worksheets for each class in a PDF file, however, it is not necessary to print these if you are not able to. Students will still be able to follow along by practicing on their own sheet of paper. Students can even use their fingers to write letters in the air! I love teaching children how to read. This is a lifelong skill that opens up a whole new world of possibilities and adventures for all! I look forward to helping your children along on this wonderful journey! Hello! My name is Veronica Rojas and I am excited to meet you! I have had the pleasure of working with children since my early teen years. I have taught gymnastics, music, ESL, Spanish, and elementary/middle/high school grades). I have homeschooled my children for the past 15 years and have also been an online teacher for the past five years. I am a loving and patient educator who believes learning should be FUN! I encourage participation and lots of questions in all of my classes. When I am not teaching, I absolutely love spending time with my husband and children. We have two special needs children (Cerebral Palsy and Autism Spectrum Disorder) and a typical child that keep us on our toes!
