In this class, students will learn how to go from an idea to writing a persuasive paragraph. We will go over brainstorming, how to form a thesis statement, and writing details to support their thesis. We will discuss proper punctuation and appropriate word choice. I will provide several prompts but students will also be allowed to write a persuasive paragraph about the topic of their choosing. This class will be discussion heavy. Students will work together to brainstorm their different topics. Students will also be able to read their finished paragraph at the end of class and receive feedback from their peers.

Hello, my name is Seana Mohr!
I am a certified K-6 teacher and am passionate about teaching reading, writing, and math to students in Pre-K through third grade. I believe that learning should be fun and try my best to keep lessons engaging and interesting. I have been working with children for 15 years and have done everything under the sun. Most recently, I have spent time as a kindergarten and third-grade teacher, math and reading tutor, and ESL teacher.
