What is a Sketchnote? Sketchnoting uses both drawing and note taking to create something comprehensive and powerful! Written and plus simple illustration work together to create something wonderful. The illustrations help you understand the text, and the text helps you interpret the images. Why learn to Sketchnote? So many reasons, but here are a few: A picture really does say 1000 words, so having images to help support the words allows you to study faster! Plus, for more visual learners...
After one class learners should learn the basics of sketchnote taking and draw simple sketches. Learners will also learn some cool facts about that days sketchnote topic. After multiple classes, learners should feel comfortable taking their own sketch notes, become proficient at simplified mini drawings, and learn about a variety of topics because I will learn about something new every week.

Sketchnote taking requires minimal materials! It can be done with just a pencil and an eraser. That being said colour can be powerful too. These are the tools I recommend: Sketchbook Pencil (must have) Eraser (must have) Pens. I recommend fine point, felt tipped pens. Black for sure, but more colours are encouraged! Highlighters, markers and/or coloured pencils
