米国の学年 Pre-Kindergarten - 1
○ Learners will develop the fundamentals skills for beginning reading step-by-step 
○ Learners will build solid language skills
○ Learners will learn new vocabulary words
○ Learners will learn letter & sound recognition
○ Learners will practice retelling events of stories and retelling stories in their own words
○ Learners will use their imagination and practice acting out stories
○ Learners will learn about "clues" to help them understand meanings of words 
○ Learners will begin spelling of words and learn sight words from stories
○ Learners will begin forming short sentences on their own and write them when ready 
○ Learners will begin reading on their own / improve reading skills for those who have begun to read
○ Learners will develop social skills, working in small groups
○ Learners will have FUN and enjoy listening to and participating in story time
○ Learners will cultivate a lifelong love of reading  
Reading, reading, reading, one of my greatest passions. I LOVE reading! and reading to others, especially children. As a Principal and educator of 50+ years, I always read in my classroom; as Tutor, volunteer teacher around the world and as a Principal I read to both large and small groups of students at a time. Additionally, I was trained via classes at the Los Angeles Music Center on story telling methods. My love for reading began as a little girl, one who always had a book in her hand and even read under the covers at night when the lights were supposed to be out. 

As a lifelong Educator, I have also written reading skill based curriculum along with other subjects for students K-12.

I LOVE reading! I'll help your learner on their reading journey and help instill that same love for reading in your learner.

○ Learners will need to bring their listening ears, seeing eyes, energy and imagination
○ Learners will need: 
○ drawing paper, crayons or colored pencils 
○ writing paper with lines
○ 2 [complete] sets of magnetic alphabet letters
○ 1 magnet white board [8" X 10" minimum]
○ pencils
○ Any other supplies needed for a particular story or project will be posted in the classroom a week prior to the actual lesson 
SPECIAL NOTE TO PARENTS: To ensure each learner's success, please follow the guidelines below:  
○ Learner should be rested and ready to participate for the entire class time
○ Learner should go to the bathroom BEFORE class begins
○ Learner should be in a quiet, non-distracting place in order to enjoy the reading of the stories and interaction with their Teacher and other learners
○ Learner should be in a place roomy enough to move around [for dance and movement]   
○ Learner's camera and mic should be working 
○ Parents are encouraged to be present [but off camera] with young learner to assist with learner attention/focus and any technical issues that may arise
