I have been teaching this class on Outschool and it has been fun and successful. Prior to that, I am an experienced teacher of over 27 years and am a Reading Specialist! I LOVE teaching learners how to read, spell, and write!
Because this is a multi-sensory approach to learning to read, each learner will need to have available: shaving cream, pipe cleaners, and/or play-dough. Each learner will also need a small dry erase board (9"x12"), 1 dry erase board eraser, 1 dry erase marker, 1 composition notebook, pencils, crayons, scissors, and glue. Finally, every week students will need to have their printouts ready for class (roughly 4-5 pages per week).
