Intermediate レベル向け
This class is aimed for students with Scratch Jr. experience. Students will work on the basics of programming, problem solving and critical thinking skills with Scratch Jr. Teacher will model and provide step by step instructions. Students will work on the following skills in a series of projects: - create/modify characters (sprites) - create/modify backgrounds - code one or more characters (sprites) - use the speech bubble and voice command - use the hide command - modify size for sprites - use broadcast message commands - use repeat and forever loops - use speed command Tentative Schedule: Week 1: Animal Race Week 2: Going to the Beach Week 3: Ocean Game Week 4: Dino Game Students will need to download the app: Scratch Jr. before class. App is free and is available on iPad or Chromebook. It is beneficial to join zoom class using a different device in order to see teacher's screen while we code.

Hello! My name is Cynthia Burleigh. I live in Texas. I graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor in Science in Information Systems. I started my career in a banking institute, but quickly realized I wanted to become a teacher. I have been working in education for 15 years, 3 years teaching with Outschool. I am Bilingual Certified - speak English and Spanish and teach Bilingual and ESL students. My teaching experience includes: Robotics, Codings, Spanish, Pre K - 3rd grade Bilingual instruction, Bilingual Reading Specialist, and STEM teacher.
I love to teach Reading, Math, Spanish, Technology and STEM (including robotics). I love spending time with family, teaching, and running. A little fun fact about me...I run marathons for fun! I can't wait to see you in class.レビュー
