In this four-week beginning Serbian course, students will learn the basics of this Slavic language. The weekly topics will be the following: 
Week 1: Shopping
Week 2: Music
Week 3: School
Week 4: Travel
Serbian is a language that uses the Cyrillic alphabet, and this class will introduce the basics of this alphabet, as well. The Cyrillic alphabet is used in most Slavic languages (with minor variations), such as Russian, Bulgarian, Macedonian etc. 
The class is organized in 3 stages: 
a. Presentation - the learners get exposure to the language through listening or reading;
b. Practice - the learners practice the language elements from the presentation stage, with guidance from the teacher; and
c. Production - the learners are involved in a more interactive activity, where they have to use the language elements learned in the previous two stages in a more independent way.
