1. One skein of yarn in a size 4. This can be of any fiber content, but acrylic, acrylic-wool blend, or wool will be the easiest to use. The yarn should be a smooth yarn, and not one that has a lot of bumps or loops. 2. 10" straight knitting needles in size 7 or 8.
