Through interactive lessons, games, and hands-on activities, we’ll reinforce reading, spelling, grammar, and writing skills, ensuring students stay on track and avoid the summer slide. ✨We are proud to be the first and only accredited Montessori school on the Outschool platform, featuring certified teachers who bring their expertise from our brick-and-mortar school located in Ontario, Canada.✨ 𝗧𝗢𝗣𝗜𝗖𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗗 📖 𝙒𝙀𝙀𝙆 𝟭 Understanding parts of a book, improving reading comprehension, and strengthening letter recognition and formation. 🔤 𝙒𝙀𝙀𝙆 𝟮 Mastering sound isolation of vowels and consonants to improve phonemic awareness. 📝 𝙒𝙀𝙀𝙆 𝟯 Practicing blending CVC words, identifying rhyming words, and counting syllables in words. 🖊️ 𝙒𝙀𝙀𝙆 𝟰 Learning essential sight words, understanding capitalization and punctuation, and reading short sentences while narrating captions. 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗦 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘 ✅ Review: We begin by going over the topic of the day. ✅ Teacher Modeling: The teacher demonstrates with fun examples. ✅ Student Application: Learners actively participate in activities to apply their knowledge. ✅ Practice at Home: Homework/review sheets are posted so students can continue learning outside of class. 𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗧𝗬𝗟𝗘 Students will have plenty of opportunities to interact with both the teacher and their peers. Everyone gets a turn to participate, ask questions, and showcase their skills during class exercises and activities. My teaching style is all about keeping it fun yet productive—so students will enjoy learning while making real progress. Students will learn to identify the title, author, illustrator, cover, spine, and pages of a book. They will explore how authors and illustrators contribute to storytelling and answer basic comprehension questions about a short story. Students will review uppercase and lowercase letters and practice correct letter formation. Using tracing, air writing, and hands-on activities, they will develop strong handwriting skills. Parental guidance and support may sometimes be required to supervise young learners. We may need help using various stationary items (i.e., scissors, stapler etc.), or preparing materials before class.
受講に必要なもの
A weekly material list will be provided to you prior to class, in preparation for the following week of classes. Learners are responsible for having the listed materials on hand and printed worksheets ready. If learners are missing a material, alternative suggestions can be provided. Classes will typically require commonly found household items or stationary such as: pencil, eraser, highlighter, scissors, stapler, glue etc.
