The cultural significance of seasonal kimono in Japanese festivals, tea ceremonies, and
     celebrations

Differences in fabric choices and styling for various weather conditions

How to identify and coordinate seasonal kimono ensembles

Teaching Style & Interaction:

I use a combination of visual slides, video clips, interactive discussions, and hands-on
activities to make learning engaging. Students will participate in:

Live discussions to share observations and ask questions
Slide presentations with historical images and modern examples
Matching activities to pair motifs with the correct season
Virtual styling challenges where students coordinate seasonal kimono outfits
Short video demonstrations on kimono styles and fabric techniques

Students are encouraged to ask questions and share their insights throughout the course. This is a welcoming space for all learners, whether they are new to kimono or have a growing interest in Japanese fashion and culture.
