In this course, students will have the opportunity to practice various phonics, reading, and math skills, as well as receive homework help in these subjects. In the phonics section, we will cover important topics such as CVC, CVCe, sight words, vowels, and blending. This will help students improve their reading and pronunciation skills.

The reading portion of the course will focus on developing reading fluency, comprehension, grammar, pronunciation, and punctuation. Students will also learn how to identify context clues, characters, setting, plots, and themes in different texts. These skills will enhance their overall reading abilities and make them more confident readers.

In the math section, we will concentrate on important concepts such as subtraction, addition, skip counting, fractions, word problems, multiplication, and division. By practicing these skills, students will become more proficient in solving math problems and gain a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts.

Throughout the course, we will follow the "I do, we do, you do" method of teaching. This means that students will have the opportunity to learn, practice, and then demonstrate their understanding of the topics covered. To make the learning experience more engaging, we will incorporate music, videos, and games. Additionally, for kinesthetic learners, I will provide hands-on learning activities.

If students feel that they need to be challenged with something more rigorous to enhance their thinking skills, the sessions can be adjusted accordingly. It is important to note that previous knowledge is not required to book a one-on-one session with me. Whether students are just starting out or need help with specific areas, this course is designed to cater to their individual needs and help them succeed in phonics, reading, and math.
