Students will be able to define what a robot is.  We will look for examples in the real world.
Students will be able to explain the difference between robots and regular machines.
Students will learn about how we communicate with robots.  Students will then practice how coding works through a movement activity and an interactive group game.
Students will use that we discussed in class to imagine and create their own robot (art project, not an actual functional robot).

I'm so excited to share my love of these exciting adventurers with you!  I've been teaching STEAM through fun, engaging topics like these to preschool through middle school for 6 years through an independent STEAM education company, and I'm really looking forward to connecting with new students here on Outschool.  Not only will we be learning about robots and what makes them AWESOME--but we'll sneak in some colors, numbers and math, comparing and contrasting, observation, movement and more--all things that preK, kindergartners and 1st graders love to learn and practice!
