Forests are disappearing, oceans are changing, and animals are losing their homes—why is this happening, and how can we help? In this interactive 8-week course, learners will explore the biggest threats to wildlife habitats, from deforestation to pollution, and discover real-world ways to make a difference. Through engaging discussions, hands-on activities, and a special project, students will become junior conservationists ready to help protect our planet! Each week, students will explore different aspects of habitat loss and conservation, including: What habitats are and why animals depend on them? How deforestation, pollution, and human activity affect wildlife? What scientists and conservationists do to protect animals? Real-world actions kids can take to help. What Topics Will Be Covered? Please see the Syllabus for details. Learners will complete a final project where they create a solution to protect a habitat. Weekly take-home challenges encourage students to apply what they learn in real life. My Teaching Style: I believe learning should be engaging, fun, and hands-on! I encourage curiosity, creativity, and active participation. Every student has a voice, and I love sparking excitement about protecting nature through storytelling, role-playing, and interactive activities.
