Journaling is a great way for students to practice writing and to inspire creative thinking and in this class, students will practice these skills. Journal writing can help your learners' process thinking, build writing skills, and better communicate their ideas. The goal for these sessions is to cultivate a love for writing and to inspire creative thinking!

Each week, students will be able to practice their writing skills by answering open-ended questions that will encourage students to be reflective and think about the questions that they are presented.  In this casual writing environment, students will be presented with prompts and as a class, we will brainstorm and discuss the questions presented. We will engage in discussion prior to writing to provide students the opportunity to orally express their ideas in addition to writing up responses in their journals. 

The environment for the class will be casual and student engagement with peers and teacher is encouraged! Students will be given multiple opportunities to discuss with one another and will be able to express their thoughts as they choose! Students are free to write journal entries, stories, poems, or illustrate.

Hello! My name is Alizae Mohamed! For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to be a teacher which is why I decided to pursue a bachelors in elementary education.

I have a B.A in Childhood Education and I am very passionate about teaching. I am a teacher by profession, but most importantly, I'm a lifelong learner who is always seeking new ways to make learning fun and attainable for each student. 

My classes are a safe place for your student to learn, discover, and have fun! My goal is to make learning fun and meaningful for each student. I design my lessons to ensure that each student has the opportunity to express themselves and to share their ideas. My lessons will engage your learner and make them excited for learning!
