Japanese for Kidz offers ongoing Group Lessons for young people with engaging Japanese language content ranging in level from Beginner, Intermediate, to Upper Intermediate, and beyond. Students are placed in a level that suits their ability based on a consultation with Jasmine-sensei and various times for that level will be recommended to the student and family. In each level, students will cover all aspects of Japanese language including grammar, listening, conversation, reading, and writing (hiragana, kaakana, kanji) in a cyclical fashion until mastery is achieved at their level. PARENTAL GUIDANCE INTERNET USAGE
We use a variety of resources in and outside of class including links from YouTube, flash cards from Quizlet, and games on Kahoot.
YOUTUBE
YouTube links will be used in class as well as posted for review in the classroom. Outschool has made YouTube a very safe platform by having students only be able to access it from the classroom.
QUIZLET
It is recommended that you make your student a free Quizlet account. Quizlet is used as an invaluable review resource. All of my Japanese for Kidz classes have unique Quizlet flashcard sets that can be reviewed repeatedly to support fluency.
KAHOOT
Kahoot is a resource that will need your approval as it consists of using the internet browser or another device to play. As with any internet usage, parental guidance is highly recommended when using any of these resources.
COMPREHENSIBLE JAPANESE
Comprehensible Japanese is a website that provides a variety of topics, videos, and transcripts that will support student's learnings.
