This course will focus on building your child's ability to correctly answer all sections of the SSAT or ISEE depending on which exam your child is planning on taking. 

In this course, I will help your son or daughter with their individual needs to prepare the SSAT or ISEE exam. The hour will be spent on any topics your child needs assistance in. Prior to class, I ask that you just send me which subjects your child is more confident in and which area you would like me to focus on (English writing, reading or maths)

Students will come out of this course will practical skills that will help them improve their overall SSAT or ISEE scores.

I have both exams listed in one course as both exams are frequently accepted for independent schools but please let me know which exam your child plans on taking so I can focus my instruction on that specific exam as they are slightly different. 

Topics will include: 
Verbal Reasoning:
-Synonyms
-Sentence completion (ISEE) or analogies (SSAT)

Quantitative Reasoning:
-Arithmetic (basic operations, fractions, decimals, percents)
-Algebra (equations, inequalities, functions)
-Geometry (shapes, angles, measurements, coordinate geometry)
-Data analysis and probability

Reading Comprehension:
-Main idea and Supporting details
-Inferences
-Vocabulary in context
-Author's purpose and tone
