This course lasts seven weeks, meeting once a week for 45 minutes. Each session, students will learn watercolor techniques, practice those techniques, then employ those in a project. *Students will learn about the unique qualities of watercolor. *Students will learn various techniques to use with watercolor. *Students will learn basic color theory to use with watercolor. *Students will create seven different watercolor paintings.

Students may need to finish a project outside of class time. We will share the previous week's project at the beginning of each class so we can see any progress made outside of class.評価が提供されます
Students will self-assess their work verbally with the teacher. We will focus on constructive criticism, how to self-assess, and being resilient in art-making.成績が提供されます
Materials:
*Watercolor Paper Pad - I will use 9"x12" - My favorite is Canson, but there are many options!
**I like to use COLD PRESS paper (more textured), but HOT PRESS (smoother) is fine too!
*Pencil, Eraser, Sharpener
*Ruler
*Washi Tape - variety of widths - super skinny, thin, medium, regular (Check the planner section of the art store)
*Variety of Watercolor Brushes - different shapes and sizes. Below is a link to Michaels for a great set:
